Dr. Asim Qidwai is the first Pakistani Physician who has earned a specialized Master in Haemoglobinopathy from University College London, UK. Dr. Qidwai has a special interest in Benign Hematology and is working in pediatric Haem- oncology for the last 15 years. In 2003 he established AMTF- Helping Blood Disorder, a clinical setup which has been providing total free of cost clinical care the sufferers of blood diseases, primarily focusing in Beta Thalassemia. Dr. Asim Qidwai did his medical school in 1995 followed by residency in pediatric medicine, a fellowship in pediatric hematology and oncology, and a Masters in Haemoglobinopathies from University College London. In 2014 Dr. Qidwai was awarded with a Gold Medal for his services in the establishment of Pakistan’s first intensive care unit for children suffering from blood diseases and cancers and South Asia Triple Helix Award in 2018. Recently received Child welfare award 2019 from 3G Global award from IFA Cambridge.

  • Establishment of Amtf shikarpur thalassemia centre as private public partnership with Government of sind now operational with 200 registered patients.
  • Consultant Assessment Advisor-CCN (LOCAL) SHORT-TERM CONSULTANT AGREEMENT. Three months project for Tharparkar District. (24th April 2022- 23rd July 2022). Under Chemonics’ contract agreement with the U.S. Agency for International Development (“USAID”) for the USAID (“GHSC-PSM”).
