CELEBRATED COMPLETION OF 5 YEARS SUCCESSFUL OPERATION OF ICU

Karachi March 08, 2017. Karachi’s prominent NGO AMTF Helping Blood Disorder (Afzaal Memorial Thalassemia Foundation) operating in Health Sector for Prevention of Thalassemia and Treatment of Blood Disorder Diseases celebrated completion of 5 years successful operation of ICU and Cardiac Care Clinic.

First ever ICU facility dedicated for treatment of Thalassemia Patients equipments were donated by Government of Japan. The idea was invented by Dr. Asim Qidwai Founder & CEO AMTF and was turned into reality by tremendous efforts from Mr. Ateeq Ur Rehman, Executive Director, AMTF with the help of Government of Japan. For the first time in the history of Pakistan, at NGO level, 3,260 patients are benefitted with the Free ICU and Cardiac Clinic Facility in five years.

Remarkable support from the Board of Trustees was the driving force behind the team work. His Excellency, Honorable Toshikazu Isomura, Consul General, Consulate General of Japan, Karachi graced the occasion as Chief Guest. Members, Board of Trustees expressed Special Gratitude towards the unconditional support of Donors, Well Wishers and Corporate Sector, both moral and financial, for the noble cause.
