Launched in the year 2012, “i am the change” (IATC) is a flagship initiative of Engro, intended to pay tribute to local change agents who have worked tirelessly to improve access to education, health-care and livelihoods for Pakistan’s poorest of the poor.
Through this initiative, Engro endeavor to give due recognition to institutions and individuals who collectively display the spirit of philanthropy and economic stewardship in Pakistan.
By the grace of Allah (SWT), AMTF’s tireless efforts in the field of ‘Health Care’ were recognised with “i am the change”, a prestigeous award for 2016. This was not possible without dedicated team work of AMTF.

Today, the Office of the Commissioner Karachi and AMTF signed an MOU is based on the Idea of Dr. Asim Qidwai, Founder & CEO of AMTF “Community Helps Community” and the initiative was taken by Commissioner Karachi Mr.Muhammad Iqbal Memon regarding providing Free/Cost to Cost Lab & Diagnostics and Specialist Consultancy Clinics to the Staff and Families working under Commissioner Karachi.![]()

The MoU was signed by Yousuf Siddiqui (C.E.O) from Engro Vopak Terminal Ltd side and Dr Asim Qidwai, (Founder and C.E.O) AMTF Helping Blood Disorder program Pakistan. AMTF Team members Mr. Abdullah Abid, Mr. Ateeq Ur Rehman, Mr. Muhammad Ashraf, and Mr. Nasir Sheikh were present during the MOU signing ceremony. ![]()
AMTF is Pakistan first 24hrs cashless hospital almost 45 bedded providing treatment facilities to more than 1,400 thalassemia and blood disorder patients at par with the international standards since 2003.
Help Dr. Asim Qidwai, Founder and CEO of AMTF continue to sustain his novel concept of Saving a Life in Front of My Eyes (SALIFOME), where blood donors and blood transfusion recipients can build a bond by having the blood donation area and blood receiving area opposite to each other in order for building an emotional bond between recipients and donors, hence keeping the donor pool intact.![]()
